Our Leadership and Development Team

Sheila Connor is the President of Guiding Leaders and Teams, a Seattle-based nationally recognized and respected consulting group. She is a versatile and effective communication professional with expertise in executive coaching and team development, change and stakeholder management, and interpersonal skills training. Throughout her twenty-five years of consulting, Sheila has viewed the strategic development of human capability as the critical factor in driving organization success.
Working collaboratively with clients as partners, she has participated in the design and delivery of leadership and strategy development retreats and trainings to over 10,000 people. Her designs for organizational interventions have been used throughout the United States and in Canada, China, Denmark, England, Egypt, Korea, Malaysia, Russia and Scotland. She frequently conducts team retreats and on site meetings for multinational corporations, government agencies and educational institutions. She has been acknowledged for her ability to build the capacity of successful people into successful leaders through her active executive leadership coaching practice.

Karen Boylston has a private practice consulting with senior leaders on the intersection of strategy and leadership. She is also a managing director and executive coach with Duke Corporate Education (Duke CE) Global Learning Network.
With over twenty years of senior level consulting and executive development experience, Karen brings a systematic approach to the design and implementation of strategy execution, culture change, executive coaching, leadership development, and talent/succession planning.

Debbie Rough-Mack offers customized organizational consulting services to individuals and groups seeking to increase their effectiveness. Debbie brings her extensive insight and expertise, as well as proven organizational development methodologies and practical tools, offer customers a wide variety of solutions.

Wyatt Webb is the founder and leader of the Equine Experience at Miraval Resorts. Wyatt’s guests work with specially selected horses to identify patterns of learned behavior that may be working against them in their communication and relationships.

Jeb Bates is an executive coach and leadership development consultant working with top leaders, senior professionals and high-performance teams to build their capabilities, expand their impact and deliver results.
With experience in the technology, healthcare, financial services, life sciences, marketing/media, consumer products and higher education sectors, Jeb provides his expertise, guidance, facilitation, and coaching skills to large and small client organizations and individual professionals.

Amy Brown has worked in organizational development for over two decades. Amy has designed and implemented global high potential, leadership development and management capability programs, and she has coached senior level executives and driven executive communication strategies in industries ranging from higher education to technology.

Neil McCarthy founded McCarthy Consulting in 2003 with a mission to help corporate leaders realize their full leadership potential, overcome adversity and organizational conflict and achieve demanding business goals. The focus of his work has been to aid leaders and teams in translating theories of individual, team and organizational performance into practical and applicable actions that deliver results – like more effective collaboration, increased productivity and stronger strategic alignments.

Mary Sully de Luque, Ph.D., assistant professor of management and Research Fellow in the Garvin Center for Cultures and Language at Thunderbird School of Global Management, has written dozens of published articles, book chapters and academic-conference proceedings in the areas of global leadership, organization-level management issues and international human-resource management.
Steven Wright utilizes visual planning and graphic facilitation techniques to assist clients with inter-division and team collaboration, strategic vision and action plans, brain-storming, product design and marketing efforts. He supports board retreats and multi-day meetings with graphic recording, mural designs, and summary reports. He also uses digital tablet and graphic design skills to plan and lead web-based virtual meetings.
